The House on the Floodplain

One of my two final environment designs for the Lightbox Expo: Box of Mystery Challenge. I had a lot of fun doing this challenge and it really pushed me out of my comfort zone! You can read the full thread in my Challenge section.

This first scene is the exterior view of the house and research station out amongst the reedbeds of a vast floodplain. The house is able to rise and fall with the water level across the year and is home to an entomologist. Its shape is based on a treehopper insect.
