Inktober 2018 01-08
First 8 days of my narrative inktober drawings! Has been a challenge but good fun working out how to use ink and designing lots of weird beings.
01 - We lived in a house on the water.
02 - “Please ride across the water to collect my gifts from the elders. They are expecting you.” said grandmother.
03 - “Okay, what are their names and where shall I find them?” I asked.
“Ah yes, grab a pen and paper and I shall describe them to you.” She said.
04 - “The first to visit is the Red Algae King. He can be found in a rock pool on the shore but I seem to recall he only appears for a chat when it’s raining.”
05 - “Next, find the Sisters in the Moss who live in the damp coastal forest. They are always welcoming and if you’re there early in the day their home sparkles with dewdrops. Very beautiful.”
06 - “While you’re in that forest also visit the Lady Gymnosperm. Her foliage changes from time to time so I can’t give you many clues on how to spot her…”
07 - “After you’ve spoken to her, go visit the Angiosperm prince. He will most likely be frolicking with his dance troop in a sunny meadow somewhere. Listen out for the music on the wind.”
08 - “Next you must visit the Zygomycota Queen on the Hyphal Plains. Looking at the date, I think the spores might be released soon and you won’t want to be caught in that so be quick. And don’t be scared of her height, she is kind and keen to meet you!”
