“Now for a detour into the ocean. The Lord Porifera tends his sponge garden off the east coast. Take a small boat out and his oarfish emissaries will pick you up as he moves far too slowly to get anywhere in a useful amount of time.”

“After that, please go see the Empress Cnidaria who overlooks the jellies and corals of the warm southern seas. She’s not much of a talker but don’t be fooled into thinking she’s not paying attention, she has more eyes than you may immediately think.”

“While you’re on that bit of coast do also drop by Bryozoa, the Guardian of the Moss Animals. His coat shimmers like water but although it’s tempting, he will be offended if you try and pet him…”

“Now, I do also need you to go see the rulers of the Platyhelminthes. They are show-offs but do have the most beautiful patterns and movement”

“The Rotifer Elder is hard to find as he is only a centimetre in height. The Rotifera have an exquisite tiny palace by the river and are excellent tailors. Be careful not to lose my gift from them just because it is smaller than the others!”
